I cooked a roast in the crock pot(no veggies). After 10 hours on slow the meat was still red.Is this normal?

Is it red... or just pink? Sometimes beef still looks pink after being int he slow cooker even though it's fully cooked. And beef doesn't even have to be fully cooked. Your best bet for all cooking in the future is to purchase a food thermometer. Then you can check all your meats' internal temperature to make sure they are cooked properly.
